New homelessness funding, Dec 2024

Streets of London is delighted to announce a new series of grants totalling £150,000 to help fund ten amazing projects that offer life-changing support to people experiencing homelessness.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the charity has now provided more than £1 MILLION of vital funding to homelessness projects in the capital.

In this latest round of grants, we’re funding immediate help for people who are street homeless (hot food, showers, clothing, medical attention, housing advice), a supported three-month catering/hospitality training programme (often leading to jobs for the people taking part), and mental health support for homeless young hostel residents.

Other projects funded include: employment support (careers advice, help with CVs & job applications, clothing & travel for interviews, training); street outreach work; help with accessing housing; one-to-one support from case workers; support for homeless women; one-to-one personal coaching for formerly-homeless volunteers and employees; migrant support.

For more details about each of the projects funded, please visit our Projects page.

A huge THANK YOU to all our supporters who make work like this possible, including all our dedicated regular supporters, corporate partners, everyone who has made a donation or fundraised for us by taking part in this year’s Streets of London Night Walk or our Sleep-Out on a rainy night in October, all the artists who performed at last week’s Starry Night concert and everyone who bought a ticket, and everyone else who has supported us in one way or another over the last year. Your collective support and generosity makes this work possible and we’re very grateful.

With homelessness in London currently at a record high, and with the nights continuing to get colder as Christmas approaches, these fantastic projects are making a real difference for people in crisis across the capital.
