Personalised one-to-one support from case workers

Grant £15,000

People experiencing homelessness can have a wide range of needs and issues facing them. It can make all the difference to have a place to go where they are not only able to get food, warmth, clean clothes and company, but also be known and have people working closely with them to end their homelessness.

One-to-one, personalised support is often vital to getting people off the streets for good. At Ace of Clubs in Clapham, people are able to access a range of practical facilities as well as the centre’s case workers, who get to know them on an individual basis to help address their needs and enable them to access any other support they need. The case workers are always on hand during the centre’s drop-in times to offer help, so people are not only able to have their immediate needs met but can feel supported on a more personal level. They are able to develop a trusting relationship with someone who can help them take the steps they need to begin living an independent life, off the streets.
